Oil and watercolour selling together

Both Sandra Barlow and Kirsten McIntosh continue to attract collectors who are buying their compositions on a regular basis. Sandra Barlow's watercolour, Harakeke Whanau draws the viewer towards the dead calm water that contrasts sharply with the explosion of chaotic flax leaves that are accented with a range of delicious colours. Calm and chaos co-exist.

Like many of Kirsten McIntosh's oil compositions, Raglan Harbour paints a beautiful scene that invites the viewer to enter into and construct their own endless narratives regarding the origins of and possible destination of the singular rowing boat.

Both paintings are destined for overseas.
