Helen Cairney's three pieces from the Still Slices of Life exhibition were snapped up by the same buyer as a secret family gift, purchased while the receiver was in the gallery. Much distraction was put in place as the items were uplifted from wall to wrapping to bagging. Other than the general mayhem and subterfuge that ensued, the beautiful artistry of these compositions was quietly commented on. Quite right too.
