In the first year of the Welcome Swallow Gallery the artistry of Marilyn Rea-Menzies graced the walls leading to a flurry of sales that helped to establish the gallery footprint in the community. Three years later the gallery is proud to share the sale of one of Marilyn’s signature pieces, NZ Clematis. This is a vivid acrylic on canvas composition that primarily presents the colour white as the central theme of the study. Accordingly, during its time in the gallery it has been a true ‘head-turner’.
