Gallery artist, Chris Greenslade’s exquisite watercolour brush continues to attract the discerning art collector. Sold from the Design is Everything exhibition is the composition, Chateau Tongariro. Painted from a different angle than typically viewed Greenslade adds further poignancy by showing a lazy chain slung across the entrance way thereby preventing a climber from gaining entry to this iconic building.

Foretelling an end of era narrative, mountains appear behind the chateau, ominously establishing dominion over the passage of (human) time. The car park is empty.
