For three weekends in a row, Gallery artists Sandra Barlow's watercolours have attracted buyers from overseas and in New Zealand. The most recent sale is Te Aroha that curiously captures, as the central feature of the composition, a distant obelisk atop a range of hills. A maize crop in the foreground with farmstead nestled in the centre of the painting completes an evocative quintessential New Zealand rural setting.
