Kirsten McIntosh in demand
Kirsten McIntosh's brilliant composition, Light on the Dunes, has sold to a local collector. Much admired by all gallery goers, for this painting Kirsten used many acrylic and oil layers to build up the colours and depth. The result is a stunning image of the Petone inlet towards Wellington Harbour, during the late afternoon. This is where the first European settlers arrived on 22 January 1840, on the ship Aurora. The gallery is always proud to share New Zealand history through the art that we show and sell.
