Two into One
On this dual launch night, 6th June, it was most evident that Autumn felt like a fleeting moment in the memory, while the Winter Collection did not disappoint in terms of the brisk cold night that greeted gallery guests. The winners of the Fleeting Moments Autumn photographic competition from the Sculpture Park, picked by Tushar Sharma had their brilliant photography prominently displayed on the Welcome Swallow Gallery walls (see images below).
From the Sculpture Park, Gemma Reid, the Park’s Arts Administrator & Educator addressing those present, explained the nature of the photographic competition before handing over to Tushar Sharma for the presentation to the winners of their certificates and prizes. Most helpfully, Judge Sharma explained why each of the winners were chosen and in doing so provided useful insight into what makes a great photograph.
Earlier, Curator Clive Gilson welcomed all the guests, expressing his gratitude to the Sculpture Park for enabling the Welcome Swallow Gallery to host this second Fleeting Moments competition. He noted that voting for the Peoples’ Choice Award, for the best photograph on display, was a favourite activity for gallery visitors.
Gilson also invited guests to likewise enjoy the Winter Collection 2025 exhibition that was officially opened on the night, sponsored by the gallery benefactor, The Montana Catering Group.

And the Winners are...!
