On Friday evening, 8th July, the Gallery presented a special showcase entitled: SPORT AND HOLLYWOOD: THE ART OF PERFORMANCE, by contemporary New Zealand artist Debra Thompson. Sponsored by Montana catering this event also featured unique artifacts relevant to the subject matter, film clips and music, alongside four portraits of world famous individuals who reflect the title of the Showcase; Jonah Lomu Shane Warne, Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Caine. A cocktail bar with canapes, ensured that the evening was a great success.
