The recently launched Waikato Watercolourist Exhibition @ The Welcome Swallow Gallery has attracted wide publicity. A half page article that features the exhibition with additional references to the Hodgkins exhibit and Rita Angus watercolour, has been published in stuff.co.nz, The Waikato Times and the Hamilton Press (see below). The Waikato Watercolourists launch night - A packed gallery

As temperatures soared, so did the number of attendees at the launch night of the Waikato Watercolourists. MC Mark Kilgour member of the Trust Board paced the evening, pointing out that the gallery was now into its seventh exhibition since the opening in May 2019. Fine Flint prints now on display

The special Prints in the Gallery exhibits from 12 January till 12 February contains two major prints from Sir William Russell Flint that are now on display. Left to right they are, Slipway, Devonport Shipyard and Gossipers at La Castellet. The former, painted in 1943 was bombed by the Nazi's two days after Flint had completed this composition. This print represents that last illustration of the shipyard structure....

Trust adds new members

This is what we do

We are extremely pleased that we are able to support the Waitomo/Waipa Women’s Refuge services.  The refuge runs two safe houses for women and children victims of domestic violence in the Waikato region.  The funds donated will help children, including special needs children, who require services in the form of counselling and play therapy programmes.  The funds, according to Manager Wendy Valler, have also been donated for the children to enjoy Christmas and several outings tha...

Launch night: christmas in the gallery

More than 175 people turned out to the opening night of christmas in the gallery. Board Chair and Chief Executive, Dorothy Gilson outlined how ongoing art exhibitions enabled the Trust to raise funds for childrens' charities in the Waikato. She also welcomed on board Enlighten Designs as the Gallery sponsor. Huge Huge turnout for exhibition launch night, 27 September 2019

Standing shoulder to shoulder, over 200 people attended a very special launch night for the exhibition, Raglan Art with Risk. The Raglan Art community together with People of Fire, put on a spectacular display of acrylics, water colours, ceramics, clay and stoneware.
